Messages on My Blog: Phishing Alert

In a previous article, I disclosed what kind of messages I receive daily on my blogs, LinkedIn, and social media.

A few days ago, I received a message alerting me to copyright infringement on a photo on my blog, which seemed legit as it was sent on behalf of a reputable company.

We have tried contacting you via your social media and email, but are yet to receive a response.
It has come to our attention that you are using our client’s photographs on seocopywriting.ro without a valid licence.
We have already posted out all supporting documents to the address of your office. Please confirm once you have received them.
In the meantime, we would like to invite you to settle this dispute by making the below payment of £500.

Visual Rights Group Ltd
KBC Bank London
IBAN: GB39 KRED 1654 8703 1135 11
Account Number: 03113511
Sort Code: 16-54-87

Alternatively, you can also pay with cryptocurrency with a 50% discount.
……………………………………………………………………………..

Firstly, I use my own photos or paintings in the public domain. I have extensive experience in this area. So, I was baffled by the message.

Furthermore, as shown above, they accept cryptocurrencies for this ambiguous copyright infringement without specifying which photo is involved.

As I became highly intrigued by this, I visited the webpage of Visual Rights Group, where they asserted that they would never request payment in cryptocurrencies to settle a claim.

I acknowledge that I get a lot of phishing messages through my emails and blogs, but this one appeared to be really genuine.

Please be careful!

“We are late” – May newsletter

The title was inspired by a comment under one of my articles on Fragrantica.com.

We are late, but we remember.
May was a fabulous month with fresh ideas and articles, exploratory storytelling and interaction at my courses, and meeting new people, especially the representatives of a global brand with whom I would dearly like to do business.

“A change is as good as a rest.” So is writing new stories.
The May articles I liked the most are:

Perfumes and Their Muses

Who does not like fragrances?
A fragrance with a compelling backstory is a work of art.

I enjoyed writing this since it immersed me in history. I also had the opportunity to write about my female mentors. One of them is our beloved Queen Marie.
“Having never had much of a small garden before the war, I suddenly found myself consumed with a love for gardening. Flowers as a symbol of faith and hope may be seen almost anywhere: in gardens, inside homes, in hospitals, and even on street corners. Then I started planting gardens everywhere I went, bright gardens full of flowers where I could reflect on the past and take pleasure in the present.” – Queen Marie.
You can read this on Fragrantica.com.

How do you tackle writer’s block?

It happens to everyone…
I don’t necessarily struggle with it since my imagination is insatiable, but I do sometimes lose my distinctive voice and feel like I’m portraying facts and feelings in too simple a way.

Reading is the remedy, and another test I didn’t include in my piece is attempting to start with the truest sentence I know.
Everything became apparent after that. This method is also used in my poems. This was published on my blog.

Lastly, English courses on business, banking, economics, creative business writing.

The word of the month has been: Creative Accounting
Creative Accounting is the use of methods of recording financial information about a company, etc. which are legal but which do not show the real situation clearly, usually making the company seem more successful than it really is.

I am still working on a website audit. 🙂

Content Writing Services

Our services include creating written content for websites and blogs.
We specialise in creating landing pages (or pillar pages).
Landing pages are web pages that have the specific purpose of capturing a visitor’s attention and motivating them to take a particular action, such as filling out a form or making a purchase.

We specialise in creating product write-ups, press releases, and sales pages.
Press releases are a form of communication that companies or organisations use to disseminate news or information to the media and the general public. Press releases are usually composed in a formal style and adhere to a particular structure that comprises a headline, subheadline, body text, and contact details. Press releases are typically used to announce new products, services, partnerships, or events and can be distributed through various channels, including email, social media, or wire services.
Sales pages are specifically designed web pages that aim to advertise and market a product or service with the intention of generating sales. Landing pages usually consist of convincing text, visuals, and prompts that motivate visitors to buy a product or perform a specific action. Well-written sales pages are visually appealing and provide clear and compelling reasons for why the product or service is valuable and worth buying.

We employ storytelling and growth hacking strategies, and we mould these into a lovable story that also charms the search engines. Growth hacking is growing your business through creativity. And you get a website that speaks to your consumers.
