My Latest Articles On Fragrantica

I am a devout perfume writer, among other things. Very lovely fragrances sometimes ignite the light of lyrics, which is why I started writing poetry a long time ago.

Two anthologies have included some of my poems: Anthology Volume I: Writings from the Sudden Denouement Literary Collective and Darker Objects.

Two Autumnal Fragrances from Phaedon Paris

Facebook reminded me of this article from two years ago:
Two Autumnal Fragrances from Phaedon Paris

“I only want five things, five chosen roots.
One is endless love. Two is to see the autumn.
I cannot exist without leaves flying and falling to earth.
Third is the solemn winter, the rain I loved, the caress of fire in the rough cold.
My fourth is the summer, plump as a watermelon.
And fifthly, your eyes.” ~ Pablo Neruda

Even if October is upon us, we have the gift of a long autumn, where every leaf is a flower, and each newly revealed color has been patiently waiting all year.

Quora Answers: How do you complete a poem in any subject matter you are interested in?

Imagination is a tricky thing. It does not breathe words all the time. Sometimes it is alive, and sometimes it is barely breathing.
When I have ideas, I write in a notebook or on my phone. After that, I transferred my thoughts to my blog.
You do not just sit at your desk and start writing a poem.

I love writing. For me, it is like living in a parallel world of my own making. Nevertheless, the walls of this new realm may sometimes appear blurry.

The idea for the following poem hit me when I looked out the window and felt the mellow shine of autumn glistening into the threes.

I don’t want the summer to end

I don’t want the summer to end
That is why I try to suspend
My thoughts of winters and grey
Garnering drops of snow and dismay.

I don’t want the summer to end
That is why I am hand in hand
With clouds and planets blue,
Roses and treasures that have no clue
Of corrupt winds and misty reign
In the apocalypse of rain.

I don’t want the summer to end…

Workplace under the eucalyptus tree

My office is where my notebook is.

It is great to work from various locations, since I love traveling.
And the ideas poured in.

I’ve planned out my next three Fragrantica pieces, a cover letter, a presentation, and a pitch for a new customer. In addition, I’m considering starting a new side hustle that will enable me to travel more.

Reflection Emirates Pride Perfumes

My most recent Fragrantica article is about Reflection from Emirates Pride Perfumes, an estival perfume dedicated to the warmhearted bond between Father and Son.

“I believe that what we become depends on what our fathers teach us at odd moments, when they aren’t trying to teach us. We are formed by little scraps of wisdom.”
― Umberto Eco

First, I loved the story, as I believe in the strong unseen bond between parents and children, and I am proud to have shared a very strong bond with my father. We were very much alike. He used to call me Iulius, and he instilled in me a strong sense of independence and strength. Even to this day, I keep in mind my father’s wise words and I try to follow his advice: “If you don’t work hard, your luck will dwindle. And the better you work and prepare, the luckier you become.” ; “Always play fair and admit your mistakes. There is nothing to be gained by not admitting failure or defeat, you should acknowledge your shortcomings and become better”…

Reflection’s fragrance story reminded me of the feeling that even if you are in a bad place in the present, you feel warmed up by the memory of a beautiful heavenly place that puts honey on your face. Sweet and warm. Some memories act like heaters for the heart. These are the cherished memories of my time spent with my father.

Is writing a novel a common item on people’s bucket lists? If so, what motivates them to write a novel even though it may not be widely read or enjoyed?

#Quora #Quoraanswers

I guess it is. It is for me, at least. I have postponed it for later, as writing a novel can take a lot of time and won’t yield significant financial benefits.

What motivates people to write novels?
Maybe having a voice.
Perhaps immortalizing some very loved ones.
Maybe remembering a long-lost world.
I am spinning the yarn of a story that is entirely mine.
Like the story of this photo.

Just Write

I started writing by chance. I started writing poems for quieting my sorrows and burns caused by difficult waves of life.

Writing is
quieting the burns
from people’s thoughts and deeds
And dissolving
all knowledge
that this will
ever happen…
Writing (an old poem)

One of the most cherished moments in my life is when I bring pen and paper to the beach and watch the waves incessantly, as my mind becomes a canvas for ideas to gallop freely.

In a more prosaic approach, everybody must make a habit of writing, whether is:
Journaling
Notetaking
Goal-writing
Blogging
Storytelling
List-making
Poetry-writing

Writing can clear your mind, refine your ideas, develop your thoughts, and help you see things clearly.
It has been demonstrated that a written goal is half-fulfilled.

Why don’t you try?
Just write!

Contemplating Eternity

Romania is a prolific country for a pandemonium of artistic expression, starting with literature, the fine arts, and lately, the art of perfumery. Because, even though we no longer live on these plains, the original Romanian soul feels solidarity with these geographical views in its eternal depths, and we keep a faint heavenly recollection of them in a sorrowful corner of our hearts.

Lilies of the valley

Lilies of the valley are the pearls of the garden, ready to be found only by those who believe in their power of fascination. In this perfume, lilies of the valley, roses, peonies, and irises create a bouquet like an early summer garden wafting in the mauve twilight. A sleepy garden that makes me feel like I am the only witness to their spreading scent.

The Magic of Florence

After taking in the beautiful, iconic Tuscan landscape below, I arrived in Florence and discovered myself in a location where nature and history have collaborated to cast a magical veil over a land that has received the blessings of both God and the gods. Many of the sunrises were so beautiful that, over the Dome, I was able to see the pink magic fingers of Eos dismantling the immaculate light of dawn into the sun’s first rays.
