Tyrannosaurus writing

“I’ve been blogging since February of 2001. When I started blogging, it was a dinosaur blog. It was me and a handful of tyrannosaurs. We’d be writing blog entries like, ‘The tyrannosaurus is getting grumpy.” – Neil Gaiman

The dinosaur in me writes the Iron Tales or ruminates about feeling nothing in the Equilibrium, when he is grumpy and scared. He writes about feeling nothing in order to hide away fear of feeling too much, to solidify the knowledge of being woundable…and to Live. β€œWe tell ourselves stories in order to live.”- Joan Didion

The Tyrannosaurus writing shapes all, sometimes in a no-win situation, sometimes in a win-win situation. A no-win is when you write for herbivores, and win-win when you write for your own kind. They understand. You write about something they would wanna have or feel at least for once in their lives. Being grumpy and a T-Rex saves a lot of trouble when your writings hit judgmental walls. Your skull endures…

Honesty matters. Vulnerability matters. Being open about who you were at a moment in time when you were in a difficult or an impossible place matters more than anything. – Neil Gaiman

To write with the truth of pain in your mouth is gruesome poetry…You’ll have to cut out your heart with every word and show it to the world, then hope it will heal. This is how the light gets in, also the dark. To acknowledge fear, defeat, despair and pretend serenity of a lesson learned while patching up the wounds is…Life.

I like to blow my cover on a meta level. So I can say with all honesty that I think in some cases discretion is the better part of valor! πŸ˜€πŸ€“πŸ˜‡

Let’s go from rags to riches. You can teach me, vicariously, the secrets of finance. Time travel would help, but I haven’t mastered that yet! πŸ˜‰ xxx

Telepathic travel might help or teleporting. I haven’t mastered these, but there is still time πŸ™‚ That would be my pleasure, as still is chatting with you πŸ™‚ Thank you very much!

My view of psychological (instead of physical) time travel, **if possible**, is that God would only permit connections/knowledge that are for the good. So if seeing what’s going to be big in the stock market in the next 10 years would not be good for a person, God would not give them such insight! But I’d still like to do it! xxx πŸ™‚ And yes, you are fun and interesting too!

You are right and also I agree with the fact that God may speed up the wrong times and “leisure down” the good πŸ™‚ Under no circumstances God might permit such insight as the stock market is a zero-sum game, my good is your bad, or my gain is your loss…With the risk of sounding like a groupie πŸ™‚ I have to agree more with you, I’d still like to do it! πŸ™‚

Thought provoking post! I was just thinking about what may or may not be good for a given person’s spiritual development. I wasn’t thinking sociologically. The idea that one person’s monetary gain necessitates another’s loss is something I haven’t thought about too much, except for on a general level of stratification, etc. Surely there must be “win-win” situations in finance??

Thank you very much for your interesting insight πŸ™‚ You make me think a little bit more than I usually do πŸ˜‰ The zero-sum game is entirely dedicated to stock markets which are “perfect”. I invest in some shares because I want to have a return on my investment, so if the price of that particular stock raises, I will have a profitable investment, but if it decreases, I will lose, consequently the person who has bet against my prediction will win… Sometimes life is a win-win situation, when people with “trendy” ideas decide to share them <3 Also bonds and starting up a business πŸ™‚

I often think that if I could do it all again that I would have taken investing courses instead of the humanities. But alas, I needed the humanities to make sense of my ever changing world — inside and outside. Now, coming up to my 55th birthday, one of my biggest concerns is financial stability. It’s probably good to learn the trade for yourself. Investment counsellors might do better than a bank but if they were *really* good, would they still be working as investment counsellors? πŸ˜ŠπŸ’ŸπŸ’
