Engleza de joi/ Forge

Forge = make or shape (a metal object) by heating it in a fire or furnace and hammering it; create (something) strong, enduring, or successful.

“Witchcraft is a poetic reality – born from the dragonflies that took shape in the sparks of the first blacksmith’s hammer – as He forged Beauty in the cave of Wisdom.”
Nicholaj de Mattos Frisvold, The Nocturnal Gospel

I like the idea of ‘forging beauty’; it implies it is not something easy to achieve. Physically, I look at the snow covered hills around me this morning and cannot think this resulted by chance, it was surely forged with a great deal of effort. Inner beauty does, it seems to me, take even more forging to achieve.
Moving to the more conventional thought, did you know that some of the world’s best steel forgers are right here in Yorkshire, almost all that is left of the steel industry which made Sheffield world leaders?

Thank you! 💜 So do I, and the quote is amazing. I am happy that it has snowed there 🙂 Anyway, the first snow is always a joy.
You are right, and I cannot help thinking about our legend about the “forging” of the Curtea de Argeș monastery.
Yeah, molten words are hard to shape…
That is very interesting. I didn’t know about that.
