Love is the fifth season

Love is the fifth season
It starts in March
With shines of longer days,
guarding the waters more.

It moves along with
greens and joys of May.
It flourishes above the lilacs
And with you I sleep
Amidst lilies-of-the-valley…

It drifts down July dusks
Colored in bluish touches.
……………………………………………
October is the beginning of times
Cutting edges and bringing back
Memories of youth.
Now it is the season to embrace
The truth…

This is an old poem from year 2015.

Beware the Ides of March! I say that cos I was dumped once in March… And it felt like JC must have felt when Brutus and the gang turned on him! Nice poem though… ☺

Thank you for the warning! 🙂 With the Ides of March and the spear of betrayal concocted by good old Shakespeare, we can always be prepared for the Ides of June, July or August 🙂 What about December? Maybe the holidays keep betrayal at bay?! 🙂 I will have to look into it. 🙂

Well, you are right about keeping it simple, a “niche” betrayal is somewhat simpler and more likely to expect and accept… As feathers in the wind, but we like the wind 🙂

Tis the season for love Iulia. I admire the simplicity of your poem. Read (as in red) through your comments for additional insights too. For me the wonder of Shakespeare and all that alias name contains is a language for the soul and of the soul but not merely a soul. It is my intention to frequent your site more often.
    Love & light,

Thank you very much! Simple is better, I hope, as we cannot oversimplify life, at least words should follow a simple pattern. I think 🙂
If I can “plagiarise” the words of a titan of literature about another titan: “All modern literature comes from Shakespeare” and maybe the old ways are not that old….Miranda is one of the most beautiful names 🙂
Thank you again for reading <3
    Love, light and laughter,
    Iulia
