Public Speaking Classes

💥I live in an environment where everyone works very hard, me included. In case you are wondering. I am not killing it; I am just putting all my creativity and insight into extremely hard work.

💥I wear many hats. I teach, I write, I do research, I do business development, I design strategies, I read everything, and I decide what to do next. Sometimes it seems as though entire days pass by in an instant.
Nevertheless, I create my own microcosm and schedule. And take time off whenever possible. I love cycling… Exercising keeps me going.

💥Among my quests for knowledge, I have found many articles regarding the fear of speaking in front of unknown people.
Furthermore, “public speaking” is one of the most in-demand skills for 2025.

Please read the whole article about the most in-demand skills for 2025: The Most In-Demand Skills On The Rise For 2025.

💥I am a very proficient public speaker, but I have come a long way.

My story is simple. I was a shy and self-conscious child because my height made me stand out among my peers, leading the other children to call me “the giraffe.”I was almost as tall as 1.68 m in primary school. I was a giant. I still have some very embarrassing photos of those times. That made me afraid of human interactions and extremely shy. Still, my parents, noticing something was not right, encouraged me to participate in school festivities and recite poetry. Additionally, I was invited to join the school chorus.

That was blatantly horrible for me. But it was good practice because it forced me to accept my “shortcomings” and forget about them while struggling to perform very well in front of everybody. Here I was, taller than anybody, reciting poetry. But that was the first step toward feeling absolutely at ease in front of people.

💥Those “giraffe” times are unforgettable, especially now that I am of average height. I have not grown to 1.80 m, as everyone feared.

💥Now, I am a very skilled public speaker. When I give a speech, which is never rehearsed, I just focus on what I would like to transmit, and the fact that I want my audience to understand and to be in sync with my ideas.

💥That is why I loved being a city council member. Only after I became a city council member did I realize that my greatest strength is public speaking and rhetoric. Before that, I lived with the impression that I was just an excellent teacher and an empath.

💥I love speaking in front of unknown people. Politics is about speeches and declarations of power. One of the ways of showing strength is also speaking convincingly and fearlessly in front of people. If you are afraid, come to my public speaking courses.

✨We will have a series of summer courses that will include Public Speaking training sessions this year.

✨Before your start preparing your speech, think about these questions:

⚡️Who is your tribe?
⚡️What would you like to talk about?

✨✨✨ We also offer speechwriting services on demand.

“We are late” – May newsletter

The title was inspired by a comment under one of my articles on Fragrantica.com.

We are late, but we remember.
May was a fabulous month with fresh ideas and articles, exploratory storytelling and interaction at my courses, and meeting new people, especially the representatives of a global brand with whom I would dearly like to do business.

“A change is as good as a rest.” So is writing new stories.
The May articles I liked the most are:

Perfumes and Their Muses

Who does not like fragrances?
A fragrance with a compelling backstory is a work of art.

I enjoyed writing this since it immersed me in history. I also had the opportunity to write about my female mentors. One of them is our beloved Queen Marie.
“Having never had much of a small garden before the war, I suddenly found myself consumed with a love for gardening. Flowers as a symbol of faith and hope may be seen almost anywhere: in gardens, inside homes, in hospitals, and even on street corners. Then I started planting gardens everywhere I went, bright gardens full of flowers where I could reflect on the past and take pleasure in the present.” – Queen Marie.
You can read this on Fragrantica.com.

How do you tackle writer’s block?

It happens to everyone…
I don’t necessarily struggle with it since my imagination is insatiable, but I do sometimes lose my distinctive voice and feel like I’m portraying facts and feelings in too simple a way.

Reading is the remedy, and another test I didn’t include in my piece is attempting to start with the truest sentence I know.
Everything became apparent after that. This method is also used in my poems. This was published on my blog.

Lastly, English courses on business, banking, economics, creative business writing.

The word of the month has been: Creative Accounting
Creative Accounting is the use of methods of recording financial information about a company, etc. which are legal but which do not show the real situation clearly, usually making the company seem more successful than it really is.

I am still working on a website audit. 🙂

Teaching…

There is no place for arrogance in the teaching. The only thing is changing the world of your students.

I illustrate with a masterpiece by Michael Cheval because I do believe in the miraculous power of canvas storytelling.

A handsome start

💥“Starting a company is like eating glass and staring into the abyss.”

Never have we, abyss-starers and glass-eaters, read truer words, epitomizing our audacious struggle.
💥What do I know about starting a business? Nothing besides that irresistible sparkle of novelty, of all the new things awaiting to be learned and unlearned and not having two days alike.

Check out my video: https://youtu.be/3Jg9g0GRars?si=0OxoOlqFNDqaaHfA.

💥I started my first business (bespoke professional English courses) because I wanted to create new language together with my students. I did not want to show language to the students but to help them create their own.
Owning a business is not for the weak. Oftentimes I suffered from stress and too much glass-chewing damaged my stomach. A question may have many answers, the right answer is the one that concurs with your business strategy.
In no time I have learned how fast day-dreaming becomes daymarish. Still, mistakes are what we (and Oscar Wilde) call hard-earned experience. I have a salad of them.

💥Know yourself very well and the things you are capable of
Most people are not aware of who they are and their limitations. Make a SWOT analysis of yourself first and then of your business. We confuse experience in a certain field with the ability of conducting a business. I have learned the hard way the truth of the axiom. I thought that if I were a very good teacher and communicator, owning a business would be a piece of cake. I would ride on a smile shine and choke on the requests for offer.

💥Be prepared for anything
If a customer asks for a tornado of sharks (a metaphor) for a copywriting job, I ask: “white sharks?” Consequently, see yourself very clearly and prepare for any question or query. Take time to prepare every business meeting and presentation in detail because you and your products are everything you’ve got. I have my relentless imagination and hard facts to craft a bespoke down-to-earth project for everyone.

💥 Believe in your business model and follow your spreadsheets
(I daily-plan everything and all my courses follow a plan, at the end of which we have assessments.)
It is in our nature to want more. Some people want things that are not in your offer. Some people do not know what they want.
In other words you will be tempted to set up your business model according to what your customers say they want. Sometimes this is fine as it opens doors to new products and services. Nevertheless, the core of your business model (your Mission statement) should remain unchanged.

💥Expect your communication to take unexpected turns
“Do you know that conversation is one of the greatest pleasures in life? But it wants leisure.” – Somerset Maugham
Give it leisure and friendliness. Nevertheless, there are still queries to be had. The other day a representative of a medical company called and between the “lines” I picked up on their willingness for 17 people to benefit from our English course, but to pay for only 10 people, because some of the attendants might get bored in the end, as so happens at all English courses, he says, “knowingly”.
I never take kindly this type of approach as the lack of respect for my time and efforts translates into lack of respect towards me and my hard-crafted projects, mission, vision. Learning a language is not for everyone as it involves commitment and hard work and new eyes open for you to see more and more each class passing. Language is information.

💥Learning a language is not like attending a show. You participate in the show. Or have it like this, you participate in a postmodern theatrical performance where the actors get down from the stage and interact with the audience. It is a story within a story. We create a bespoke story for you and you get to add up your story. We create language together.
My start of the business was not at all handsome because I did not put these in my plan. I just thought that being skilled as a teacher and communicator would suffice. It didn’t, but I am still learning.

✨I am always willing to create “work” that shines like the sun with imaginative people that wish to keep their readers and customers on their toes.

✨I am illustrating with a Van Gogh, the master of painting the work of people. The work that shines like the sun, the same as his poignant mesmerizing timeless imagery.
