Who is your favorite poet and what makes them stand out to you?

Who is your favorite poet and what makes them stand out to you? Have they influenced your writing style in any way?

#Quora Knowledge

My favorite poet is Emily Dickinson.
I have been greatly influenced by her simplicity in her wording in the most astonishing poems.
Her lucid words create powerful feelings. You are able to taste, feel, and see the almost surrealistic landscapes that she creates.
In my opinion, her poems are written in color. She is able to render colors and hues in verse.

“I know nothing in the world that has as much power as a word. Sometimes I write one, and I look at it, until it begins to shine.” ― Emily Dickinson

“Bring me the sunset in a cup.” ― Emily Dickinson

The poem below has been inspired by her.

What friends?

I have the sun
and the full moons,
The air and the water
blue.

The memories of
the sweet hills
and the crescent moon
keeping the vineyards
in bloom.

For my love
I would give
My hills
wrapped in balmy
vine flowers
.

“If I can stop a heart from breaking, I shall not live in vain”. – Emily Dickinson

Who Do You Want Your Customers To Become?

I have stolen this question from The Icarus Deception: How High Will You Fly? by Seth Godin.

When it comes to customers, we all want more of them, but have you ever wondered what they see in us, service providers?
Why would they choose us and not others in a very saturated market?

Firstly, we charm them with our deft storytelling.
Secondly, they immersed themselves in our stories.
Thirdly, we fulfil our promises.

What promises?
Who Do You Want Your Customers To Become?

I would like them to feel confident. I would like them to smile before they answer questions during a business presentation.
I would like them to know how to describe in detail what they are (really) good at.
I would like them to be able to relate to people from other cultural environments.

To be continued

AI’s Rocky Road: Hype vs Reality in Business

Given the multitude of conflicting narratives surrounding the future of AI, it’s hardly surprising that companies find themselves at odds when it comes to determining the optimal strategy for incorporating it into their organizations.

Please find some information in the video below about the three major mistakes companies are making with AI, which are limiting their return on investment.

1.Underestimating and limiting AI’s potential
2.Trying to mimic another company’s AI use case
3.Buying off-the-shelf products — not tailoring AI solutions to your needs

Turbulence Alert

I love flying.
In my humble opinion, it’s the epitome of safety when it comes to transportation. I have never been afraid to board a plane.
However, like anyone else, I have had my share of turbulence.
The latest news about the Singapore airline incident due to severe turbulence has impacted a lot of the general public, especially those with a fear of flying.

Nevertheless, I am passionate about air travel. I trust modern technology, the pilot’s skills and experience, and my seat belt.

Yet another theory has emerged, pointing a finger at global warming as a partial culprit.

Take a moment to indulge in the video below and kindly offer your opinion.

Sharing Economy

What is the Sharing Economy?

The sharing economy is a peer-to-peer (P2P) economic model. It facilitates acquiring, providing, or sharing access to goods and services. Sharing economies have existed throughout history, but in modern times the sharing economy is experiencing a revival with the support of community-based online platforms.

I have created a fresh video for my students. The sharing economy is a long-debated topic for our business English and business development classes!

Video Content For My Students

Even if I am first and foremost a passionate writer, I cannot overlook the power of video content.
In a previous article, Stats about content creation that very few people are talking about, I mentioned a few details:

Visual Content Dominance
Stat: Visual content is processed 60,000 times faster than text.
Source: According to a study by 3M Corporation and Zabisco.
Implication for copywriting: Incorporating visually appealing elements in copywriting, such as images, infographics, or videos, can significantly enhance message retention and engagement.

So, I have strived to create AI-generated video content, as I am not a deft filmmaker.
But I use AI to generate videos based on my articles to create a useful trove of content for my students, who can enjoy continuous learning outside of our classes.
