Gemini Season

Gemini season is here, and as a proud Gemini, I am fully embracing the joy of the midsummer beauty.

Still, I do not really make a fuss about my birthday which is one of the most guarded secrets in the world. It is more about the Geminis as I like my start sign a lot.

What I like the most about myself is my enduring optimism. I never misplaced it, even in my darkest times.

Well, when people find out that I am a Gemini, they tend to react in 2 ways: a surprised way to the fact that Geminis are rumored to be extremely sociable, treacherous, and fake, and some others say, “That explains a lot. ” I say nothing. I do not care what people think of me.

On one side, I am a very comfortable person to deal with. I do not judge, and I accept people the way they are. I am too smart to believe that people can be changed.

If you are nice, I am very nice. But if you are not nice, the situation becomes tricky. I can either disappear (if you used to be friends with me and now you cannot get hold of me, you said/did something that bothered me immensely) or place you on the blacklist. Not a good place to be… Do not worry; on the blacklist now there are only two people.

I read books and people. I am always able to smell lies and fishy people. That is a common sense issue. I do not have time for toxic people. I know a lot of people, but I do not have 1,001 boyfriends as some simpletons might believe. Real friends — I do not have many, as I prefer to associate with people smarter than myself. Which is somehow restrictive…

I often use people as sources of information. I am smart for a reason; I realized early on that not all knowledge can be found in books. So, if you see me listening intently to what you’re saying, you can be sure that I believe I can learn something from you. It’s a form of admiration as I seek to learn from those I consider my betters.

There are some exceptions to this rule, though.

Also, this article is dedicated to some of my keen followers that would be befuddled by the fact that I am Gemini and would rather find greener pastures. Of course, I can make a bet that these guys have stopped reading after the first sentence, and I fully managed to kill two birds with one stone. Yet again. Ammunition is rather expensive…

Please take everything mentioned above with a grain of salt; one of my favorite pastimes is laughing at myself.

BUSINESS ENGLISH TUTORIAL: AI Testing Game

💥Given that I don’t use ChatGPT at all, the buzz surrounding the launch of GPT-5 Pro has taken me aback.

💥To further test AI capabilities, I asked Perplexity and Gemini to answer the first three questions in the original 1950 Turing paper, “Computer Machinery and Intelligence.” This is the paper that proposed “The Imitation Game” as the Turing test for machine intelligence. GPT-5 Pro did a simply excellent job.

The three specimen questions Alan Turing posed were:

💥Q1: “Please write me a sonnet on the subject of the Forth Bridge.”

💥Q2: “Add 34957 to 70764.”

💥Q3: “Do you play chess? . . . I have K at my K1, and no other pieces. You have only K at K6 and R at R1. It is your move. What do you play?”

The answers are as follows:

Perplexity

💥Q1: Upon the Forth’s broad tides the giants stand,
A bridge of iron veins and steadfast might,
Where steel and sky entwine by human hand,
To span the dance of day and veil of night.

With cantilever arms stretched wide and strong,
It girds the water’s vast, unyielding sweep,
A testament to craft that can’t go wrong,
A link where earth and dreaming rails do keep.

Its towers rise like sentinels of time,
A symphony in welded, tireless grace,
Through every storm and silent, solemn chime,
It holds the steadfast pulse of place and pace.

O Forth Bridge, bold and ageless, proud and free,
A living emblem bridging land to sea.

💥Q2: The sum of 34,957 and 70,764 is 105,721.

💥Q3: Thanks for the chess puzzle! However, the notation you used is a bit unclear. Normally, chess squares are labeled from a-h for files (columns) and 1-8 for ranks (rows), and pieces use standard letters (K for king, R for rook, etc.). You mentioned positions like “K1,” “K6,” and “R1” which don’t fit standard chess notation.

Could you please clarify the actual positions of your king and my king and rook using standard algebraic notation? For example:

Your king is on e1

My king is on e6

My rook is on a1

With the correct positions, I can analyze the position and suggest the best move for me.

Gemini:

💥Q1:An iron beast that spans the silver Firth,
Upon the waves, its girders reach and strain,
A crimson serpent coiled upon the earth,
Defying tempest, tide, and pouring rain.
A cantilevered wonder, bold and grand,
Whose rivets hold the future in their grip,
A testament to man’s creative hand,
A path for steam and iron, sail and ship.
The setting sun, a fiery, final show,
Illuminates its intricate design,
Reflecting where the mighty waters flow,
A marriage of the craftsman and the line.
So let it stand, a monument to might,
A bridge of steel, a beacon in the light.

💥Q2: The sum of 34957 and 70764 is 105721.

💥Q3: I can’t physically play chess, but I can tell you the best move in the situation you’ve described.

This is a classic chess problem. You have a King on K1. I have a King on K6 and a Rook on R1. It is my turn to move.

The correct move for me is to move my Rook from R1 to R7.

This move forces your king to move to a different square. No matter where your king goes, my next move will be to checkmate you. This is a common and effective way to force a checkmate with a king and rook against a lone king.

💥Your opinions are your own.
