Greece in May

For more than 20 years, I have been going to Greece in May and October/September. Firstly, because it is less crowded, less expensive, and less stuffy.
Since 2019, I have been avoiding travel to Greece during the peak season because I discovered that I am allergic to the sun.
In 2019 I booked a Corfu holiday in October, but because the hotel was closed for that period, the time and island were changed to September and Zakynthos.
The sun was very strong in the South, and after a few walks in the sun, my skin became red with spots and my feet swelled. It was an allergic reaction to the sun, salty air, and extremely salty water.
After that moment, I spent my holidays on the beach like a vampire, before sunrise and after sundown, or dressed like a Bedouin in the sunlight.

I do not mind… Still, this year, my allergy kicked in only after a brush with the sun at 7 AM. I do not care about it at all. It is not as dangerous as some other allergies. And when I am surrounded by so much beauty, why should I be concerned?

Even before my allergy times, it was useless for me to sunbathe, I could not get a suntan due to my very pale complexion. One of the jokes on me is that Alba-Iulia was named after me. Alba-Iulia (White-Iulia in English) is a town in Romania.

May in Greece feels like a breezy summer in Romania. I love the abundance of flowers and fruits, along with the exotic scents and gentle winds. It is perfection.

October is Greece is the best, it is like spring in Romania. I have been written about this: https://blog.seocopywriting.ro/2016/10/22/corfiot-entrapment/.
For some years I was able to live through two springs: one in Romania and one in Corfu. Unfortunately, hotels do not stay open for that long any more.

Below only a few photos…
