Garcia Marquez wrote: “The worst enemy of politicians is a writer.”
I am “two in one”, writer and politician, so what does that make me?
Thanks to my dual nature, I can hide underneath the skin of a writer and shapeshift whenever necessary.
Politicians are no writers because writers write about the truth of their existence or others’. Everything a writer imagines is a form of reality lived in a different world.
In order to survive, you must carry no weight of feeling in the crooked factuality of politics.
“A word is not a crystal, transparent and unchanged, it is the skin of a living thought, and can vary greatly in colour and content depending on the context in which it is used.”
– Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr.
I miss the good old times when I used to find peace in front of a blank white paper. Presently I am searching for the remains of that feeling.
I always write my feelings on paper, then I type them. Encasing my words first in arranged and perfect letters seems a sacrilege for me.
I illustrate with this painting because this is where I usually live. My world is always at dusk, as this is the golden hour of the day.
