Travel To Bergamo!

Travel To Bergamo!

Check out this place I found on Expedia!
https://expedia.com/affiliates/bergamo-hotels-starhotels-cristallo-palace.IcKSdY2

This week I recommend a visit to Starhotels Cristallo Palace from the 2nd to the 7th of September!

Bergamo is a city in the alpine Lombardy region of Northern Italy, approximately 40 km (25 miles) northeast of Milan, and about 30 km (19 miles) from Switzerland, the alpine lakes Como and Iseo and 70 km (43 miles) from Garda and Maggiore. The Bergamo Alps begin immediately north of the city.

The city of Bergamo is composed of an old walled core, known as Città Alta (“Upper Town”), nestled within a system of hills, and the modern expansion in the plains below. The upper town is encircled by massive Venetian defensive systems that are a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 9 July 2017.

Bergamo is well connected to several cities in Italy, thanks to the motorway A4 stretching on the axis between Milan, Verona, and Venice. The city is served by II Caravaggio International Airport, the third-busiest airport in Italy with 12.3 million passengers in 2017. Bergamo is the second most visited city in Lombardy after Milan.

What is a fandom?

#topicsforourcourses #boostyourvocabulary

A fandom is a subculture composed of fans characterized by a feeling of camaraderie with others who share a common interest. Fans typically are interested in even minor details of the objects of their fandom and spend a significant portion of their time and energy involved with their interest, often as a part of a social network with particular practices, differentiating fandom-affiliated people from those with only a casual interest.

A fandom can grow around any area of human interest or activity. The subject of fan interest can be narrowly defined, focused on something like a franchise or an individual celebrity, or encompassing entire hobbies, genres or fashions. While it is now used to apply to groups of people fascinated with any subject, the term has its roots in those with an enthusiastic appreciation for sports. Merriam-Webster’s dictionary traces the usage of the term back as far as 1903.

Many fandoms are overlapped. There are a number of large conventions that cater to fandom such as film, comics, anime, television shows, cosplay, and the opportunity to buy and sell related merchandise. Annual conventions such as Comic Con International, Wondercon, Dragon Con, and New York Comic Con are some of the more well-known and highly attended events that cater to overlapping fandoms.

Origins of fandom
Feminist scholar Adrianne Wadewitz cited Janeites, the devotees of 19th century author Jane Austen, as the earliest example of fandom subculture, beginning around 1870. Another early example was fans of the literary detective Sherlock Holmes, holding public demonstrations of mourning after Holmes was “killed off” in 1893, and creating some of the first fan fiction as early as about 1897 to 1902. Outside the scope of media, railway enthusiasts are another early fandom with its roots in the late 19th century that began to gain in popularity and increasingly organize in the first decades of the early 20th century.

Client Stories

Dealing with difficult clients can be a real challenge, but it’s all part of the business game!

Recently, an international logistics company approached us about taking business English courses. They liked the offer, but they had a simple request. They requested a complimentary introductory course to gauge the student’s compatibility (they mentioned “chemistry”) with the trainer. Unaware of this concept and unable to provide free courses to every individual or company that contacts us, I declined the offer.
Yes, we offer free initial courses to our paying clients, but not to everyone on the internet.
I wonder what “chemistry with the teacher” means. What if the teacher is not attractive? I had a hard time pinpointing their request, which has been singular until now.

Now it is a good time to announce that our fees will increase starting in September. Take advantage of the August offer! :)))

Our clients usually receive a free preliminary session during which we assess their level and the challenges they encounter with a view to mastering English in a business environment.
They also benefit from our extensive digital library, which we have built up over more than 20 years of training.
Our YouTube channel aids in extending the learning process beyond our English-speaking sessions. The videos are based on the topics discussed in class.

What are your fears about AI?

If you don’t master it, it will master you.

Progress is everything. AI is progress. Therefore, AI will be in everything. I love progress and new things.
Nevertheless, new things create new questions..

Will bots replace you? Is using ChatGPT to compose an email ethical? Eat rocks if Google’s searchbot says so? (No.)

Despite adults’ concerns, many youngsters are already experiencing generative AI. Snapchat and Instagram have it; iPhones and Chromebooks will get it.

“More than a decade on, adults are still trying to unravel what smartphones and social media did—and do—to young people,” If anything, worry over their impact on youth and mental health has increased. Today’s parents face various tech backlash waves due to AI.

Of sure, worries are valid. Young people may benefit from AI: using it ethically and under surveillance could be the answer.

Many a time, I have asked myself this question: How will AI shape our lives? Will it also transform our mental lives? Maybe. However, the foundation of such physical realities is neither solid nor sturdy. However, AI can influence our perceptions, causing us to see what we want to see rather than what is actually in front of us. Or, the other way around. Because sometimes we see what we want to see and not what is in front of us.
We are humans, not robots.

In my opinion, the AI can shape realities from the point of view of perceptions.
We have access to a vast amount of information. What will we do with it?

We live in the age of choices.
“Beyond the age of information is the age of choices.” – Charles Eames

Might micromanagement be dead?

On LinkedIn, there are numerous posts about productivity and the thin line between professional and personal life. There are also many opinions on how to manage increased responsibilities.

I always fulfill my responsibilities and go above and beyond. I love my jobs, and I am not in need of someone to tell me what I have to do. This is my approach, as I sometimes operate independently.
I may have a biased approach because I set my own tasks and maintain a weekly to-do list; however, I firmly believe that a truly motivated individual can effortlessly and responsibly handle tasks.

So, motivation is the key to many doors. I am highly motivated because I love what I do, even if sometimes I do not have free time on my hands and I lack prioritizing (that is something I must work on).

I agree that it’s important to complete tasks within your own timeframe, meet expectations, and move on. I work hard while also having a personal life and maintaining my emotional standard of living. I maintain both professional and emotional standards. If I am worried, stressed, or upset, my productivity suffers. When my collaborators set up tasks predictably, I appreciate it most. If they inform me beforehand, I can meet any deadlines.

Furthermore, might micromanagement be dead? Just a thought…

What are the free and paid keyword research tools?

Keyword research is a crucial part of any SEO strategy. It helps you understand what people are searching for online, so you can create content that targets those keywords. There are a number of excellent free and paid keyword research tools available.
Another tactic that I employ is to check out the competition. First, I identify their keywords, and second, I determine if I can compete on those keywords or keyphrases.
I value keyword competitiveness analysis over keyword discovery.

Is it worth targeting the same keywords as the competition?

We provide our clients with a free SEO audit that contains the answers.

Free Keyword Research Tools

Moz Keyword Explorer
Moz offers a free version of their Keyword Explorer tool, which allows you to see up to 10 keyword suggestions and 10 SERP analyses per month. This is a great option for beginners who are just getting started with keyword research.

Google Keyword Planner
Google Keyword Planner is a free tool from Google that can be used to research keywords for paid advertising campaigns. However, it can also be a valuable tool for SEO. With Google Keyword Planner, you can see average monthly search volume for keywords, as well as competition levels.

Google Search Console
Google Search Console is a free tool from Google that provides you with a wealth of information about your website’s traffic, including the keywords that people are using to find your site. You can use this information to identify new keyword opportunities and track your progress over time.

Soovle
Soovle is a great tool for finding suggested keywords from a variety of sources, including Google, YouTube, Amazon, and Bing. This can be a helpful way to brainstorm new keyword ideas.

Paid Keyword Research Tools

Semrush
Semrush is an all-in-one SEO toolkit that includes a powerful keyword research tool. With Semrush, you can see keyword search volume, competition levels, keyword difficulty, and much more.

Ahrefs
Ahrefs is another popular SEO toolkit that includes a comprehensive keyword research tool. With Ahrefs, you can see keyword search volume, competition levels, keyword difficulty, and a variety of other metrics.

KWFinder
KWFinder is a more affordable paid keyword research tool that offers many of the same features as Semrush and Ahrefs. KWFinder is a good option for small businesses and individual bloggers who are looking for a powerful keyword research tool without the high price tag.

The best keyword research tool for you will depend on your specific needs and budget. If you are just starting out, a free tool like Moz Keyword Explorer or Google Keyword Planner may be all you need. However, if you are serious about SEO, you may want to consider investing in a paid tool like Semrush or Ahrefs.

Nosferatu: Robert Eggers’ Gothic Masterpiece!

Do you like horror gothic tales?

Nosferatu, Robert Eggers’ Gothic Masterpiece will be released next year!

Of course, the setting is Transilvania…
Inspired by FW Murnau’s silent German Expressionist classic of the same name, Nosferatu is a gothic horror about a vampire who travels to Germany in pursuit of a beautiful young woman.

The 1922 film opens in the fictional 19th-century German town of Wisborg, where the menacing estate agent Knock is preparing to send an employee, Thomas Hutter, to meet a beguiling new client who lives in a castle deep in the Transylvanian mountains. Upon arrival, Hutter is intrigued and then frightened by Count Orlok’s behaviour: he sleeps by day in a coffin; tries to suck Hutter’s blood after he accidentally cuts his finger; and then catches sight of a photograph of Hutter’s wife, Ellen, with whom he becomes obsessed. Orlok then sails to Wisborg to stalk her, and leaves a trail of destruction in his wake.
