My father gave me everything I have. My father gave me everything I need to acquire everything I have and will have.

He gave me my looks, my strength, my wisdom, my desire to better myself and to do more everyday.

Above all, he gave me his wonderful big eyes and told me to see… The beauty of the world, the beauty in people, the beauty of patience, the beauty of trying, the beauty of words…

I haven’t inherited his talent for drawing…

I am trying to mould this into painting with words. I stain my finger tips in jars of blue, green, red, yellow words, I put them on paper and I hope they arrange into colourful sketches of feelings.

All my promises are for him…

My strife* is for him as he taught me that it is important to know who you are… but…far more important is:

WHAT YOU DO FOR WHO YOU ARE…

Engleza de august/ Rolling stone

August has opened the door to autumn by unleashing the cavalry of scented lilies.

Summer will be tiptoeing out of our lives…Soon…

I wish I were a rolling stone in the garden with a sea view.

Rolling stone gathers no moss   = a person who moves from place to place, job to job, etc. does not have a lot of money, possessions or friends but is free from responsibilities.

Stone = [countable] (pl. stone) (abbreviation st) (in Britain) a unit for measuring weight, equal to 6.35 kg or 14 pounds.

He weighs over 15 stone.

At a stone’s throw = a very short distance away

We live just at a stone’s throw from here.

As it is still the empire of summer and sun, I come up today with another fashionable word:

Stack sandal –  a type of sandal with high heels and a platform under the toes.

The picture is from my small, small garden. In August I do have a garden of lilies.

Speak fast and furious

You are the ONE person to make choices and wise people say that our choices define us, not our actions.

You choose to speak fast provided you choose to follow the simple English word order.

Speak furious?? A metaphor…You are furious as you need more and more words every day…

In order for you not to become “furioser and furioser”*, I will publish more and more new words…I will tell more and more stories…
