To be in love

The Sea is a fickle lover
One day sweet as
honey dew
The other bitter
like sin…
that makes you
fall harder
as if hit
by a ton of bricks
made of water glass
Sincerity.

It loves you back
with ardor
You have been dissolved…
Both limbs and heart
know no more
than
liquid love
that once was only
words…

Dawn hovering over the Black Sea until the first rays break into so many winged good news:

Sharing is caring:

Liquid love… I like that. If I remember right, some early thinkers believed that souls are connected by a mysterious, ethereal kind of “liquid.” Not physical. But i’d have to look it up. I might be wrong! 🙂

The sea is indeed a fickle lover which, if you are not attentive to its moods will destroy you, so well expressed in your poem. I hope you enjoyed your short holiday away from the city; it clearly inspired you. R x

Well, I am the lover of a fickle lover 🙂 I love love the sea. I haven’t seen the Black sea in years. The last time it choked me with love, and salty water 🙂 Anyway it was beautiful to watch its mood swings 🙂
I am sending you my warmest wishes! Give my best to P. XXX

I love the sea too, but not lying on the beach in the sun. We’re lucky as the coast, spectacular cliffs with hundreds of thousands of sea birds, tiny picturesque fishing villages and, of course the sea in any of its moods, is only about 90 minutes drive from home. We go camping there. I’m looking forward to the sea crossing back to UK on 5 September – about 5 hours on the sea!

This is wonderful 🙂 to be so close and to go camping by the sea. Camping by the sea was my thing some years back. Now I think I am too old for this.
The sea, both in eyes and ears, makes things clearer, getting on a boat makes feelings as transparent as water (as I wrote previously inspired by Somerset Maugham)…When the sea is calm. I have experienced once a stormy crossing from the mainland to Corfu. The only transparent feeling was fear 🙂
I am sending you and P my best! Drive safely! XXX
