Engleza de joi/ Stitch

Stitch = one in-and-out movement of a threaded needle in sewing, embroidering, or suturing.

“The magic is only in what books say, how they stitched the patches of the universe together into one garment for us.”
Ray Bradbury

We have another meaning for the word ‘stitch’; it’s what we call the pain in your side which you can get from running. Did you know it? I hope you feel renovated after your short holiday by the sea.

I know it, of course. My teaching job entails travelling with a dictionary, hard copy or not 🙂 For these words I always choose the meaning I like. Always the self-centered 😉
I do not jog, only cycle. Is there a word for the “abrasive” pain in one’s knees :)?
I feel wonderful, I still see the sea in my mind.
I hope you are feel renovated and happy too. I am sending you my warmest wishes. XXX

I thought you would know it; I don’t know of a specific word for pain in the knees.
I don’t jog or run or cycle, just walk. However, a long time ago I cycled from Baia Mare to Suceava via Sighet, Borșa etc. Having done it by car two years ago and again this year I can hardly believe I did it on a bike, with a tent.
I’m sure you would love the sea off the Yorkshire coast, very different to the Black Sea and very moody.
Back in Bucovina now after a week in Sibiu county but leave for UK probably Monday, leaving Romania perhaps on Tuesday. Certainly Romania makes me feel younger (I wouldn’t dream of doing a 10 hour drive in UK) and Petronela says it makes me look younger too.
I’m so glad you feel “wonderful”.

🙂 My question about this word was o joke 🙂 or just a bit of complaining <3 Cycling from Baia Mare to Suceava is quite an achievement and adventure.
I am sure too that I will love any sea on this planet. Maybe as an objective for the future to see all the seas…
Sibiu is beautiful. I particularly like the Astra Village Museum. Probably you have visited it.
I understand your feeling of feeling younger 🙂 I do sense it every time I cross the border home. No matter how beautiful it is on holiday.
I bid you safe travel home and I look forward to your next visit here. XXX
