💥What Is a Cramdown?

💥A cramdown is the imposition of a bankruptcy reorganization plan by a court despite any objections by certain classes of creditors. A cramdown is often utilized as a part of the Chapter 13 bankruptcy filing and involves the debtor changing the terms of a contract with a creditor with the help of the court. This provision reduces the amount owed to the creditor to reflect the fair market value of the collateral that was used to secure the original debt.
💥A cramdown provision (also known as “cram-down”) is primarily used on certain secured debts, such as a car or furniture. Cramdowns are not permitted on mortgages for homes that serve as a primary residence.
💥Outlined in Section 1129(b) of the Bankruptcy Code, the cramdown provision allows a bankruptcy court to ignore the objections of a secured creditor and approve a debtor’s reorganization plan as long as it is “fair and equitable.”

💥What Is Debtor-in-Possession (DIP) Financing?

⚡️Debtor-in-possession (DIP) financing allows companies that have filed for bankruptcy protection under Chapter 11 to borrow capital to restructure and continue trading. DIP loans usually have priority over existing debt, equity, and other claims and are facilitated in the hope that the distressed company, with a new cash injection, can save itself, begin making money again, and pay off all its debts.
⚡️Debtor-in-possession (DIP) financing is financing for firms in Chapter 11 bankruptcy that allows them to continue operating.
Lenders of DIP financing take a senior position on liens of the firm’s assets, ahead of previous lenders.
Lenders permit DIP financing, as it allows a firm to continue operations, reorganize, and eventually pay off debts.
Term loans are the most common type of financing provided, whereas historically it used to be revolving loans.
Interest costs on this type of financing tend to be high.

Held every year on 21 March, World Poetry Day celebrates one of humanity’s most treasured forms of cultural and linguistic expression and identity.
World Poetry Day is the occasion to honor poets, revive oral traditions of poetry recitals, promote the reading, writing and teaching of poetry, foster the convergence between poetry and other arts such as theatre, dance, music and painting, and raise the visibility of poetry in the media.
This is one of my favorite poems by me:
PILFERER OF THORNS
There comes a day
when gaiety
and ruling stars
are not enough…
Yet I plunge into
the satisfaction of
hologram happiness.
I am slave no more
to my self-deprecation
I am slave no more
to the pilgrimage of water
and the tiny gem of a moon
witness to
all my erroneous choices…
My skin is scaly
and cold
I do not fit
this shifting sands world
I believe in landslides…
A half mermaid
and half tree goddess
can lead
a turbulent sun-ridden dominion
to the end
of want and pain.
We are prisoners
to promiscuous light
and innocent dark
enlivened by fair-featured
butterflies caught in
a smock of diffuse glint…
They loved the light
and died.
The core of the day
envisions what
lies above
the acme of temerity:
undiscovered
undeciphered
unfathomable
festering
Glee…
I keep it under
layers of boiling
lava
and grope for it
with bare hands.
With burned fingers
and asbestos hearts
We receive response
from the insouciant night:
the indigo skies glimmered
with stars
and the trees and grasses
slaving
for the summer wind.
