💥What is unique selling point (USP)?

✅A unique selling point (USP), also called a unique selling proposition, is a marketing statement that differentiates a product or brand from its competitors. A USP might boast the lowest cost, the highest quality, the most experience, the first in its product class or another trait that sets the offering apart from the competition. A unique selling point can be thought of as “what you have that competitors don’t.”

✅A successful USP promises a clearly articulated benefit to consumers, offering them something that competitive products can’t or don’t offer. The USP should also be compelling enough to attract new customers. It carefully balances what the customer wants with what the business does well or what it can deliver that the others cannot. The idea is to make the product or brand stand out from the competition in some unique way. The USP should appeal to what the customer cares about and clearly differentiate the company’s offering from everyone else.

🔔Difference Between Salary and Wages

💥This is a common question in our business and finance courses.

✅Salary is a fixed amount paid or transferred to the employees at regular intervals for their performance and productivity, at the end of the month whereas wages are hourly or daily-based payment given to the labor for the amount of work finished in a day.

✅The main difference between salary and wages lies in the fact that salary is fixed, i.e. it is predetermined and agreed between the employer and employee, while wages are not fixed, as it varies depending on the performance of the labor.

✅Salaried persons are generally said to be doing “white collar office jobs” which implies that an individual is well educated, skilled and is employed with some firm and holds a good position in the society.

✅Wage is termed as a compensation that is given on the basis of the amount of work done and the hours spent in doing that. Wages are variable and do vary with day to day functioning of an individual. Wages are given to labors who are engaged in manufacturing processes and get the compensation on a daily basis.

💥What Is Chattel?
🔔Chattel is personal property that is movable between locations, as opposed to real property, which has a fixed location. Common examples include mobile homes, furniture, and automobiles. This article explains what chattel is and how it is used as security in chattel mortgages.

🔔In the legal and financial world, chattel refers to movable personal property. Chattel’s value can drop rapidly due to depreciation, as is often seen with new cars, and typically does not increase with improvements or renovations.

🔔For these reasons, chattel property is treated differently from real estate for tax and accounting purposes.

🔔Additionally, legal systems treat the rights to chattel property differently from the rights to real property. The rights to real property typically have longer statutes of limitations and are harder to overturn.

💥What is Cold Calling?

⚡️Cold calling is a sales practice in which individuals are contacted who have not previously expressed interest in a product or service.

⚡️Warm calling is the solicitation of a customer who had previously expressed interest in the company or product.

💥Cold calling generates a range of responses including call terminations, hang-ups, and verbal attacks.
🔔According to a 2020 LinkedIn report, roughly 69% of prospects accepted a call from a new salesperson in the previous year and 82% of those prospects were willing to meet with the salesperson who called. However, the success rate correlates to the persistence of the seller, with an average of 18 calls needed to connect with a buyer. Most sellers give up after four calls, never getting to a “yes.”

🔔On the other hand, cold calling is surprisingly effective. About 82% of prospects who do not hang up the phone actually book a meeting to follow up on the pitch.

So, plan carefully your cold calling strategy.

I get cold-called a lot, but I usually hang up because I do not see any benefit for me from that conversation. Moreover, a salesperson who has pre-researched the customer and prepared a personalized approach makes an effective cold call.
